PIER 290 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do we need a reservation?

    Reservations are recommended, however, we welcome walk-ins based on the availability of the time of day and season. We encourage guests with parties of 10+ to reserve tables early in the season as availability for large groups is limited. Please note that depending on the size of the party, your group may be split up into multiple tables next to each other. 

  • Can we request an outdoor table for our reservation?

    We do our absolute best to accommodate all outdoor dining requests, however, they are not guaranteed. Due to high demand outdoor seating requests may result in a wait, even with a reservation.

  • I was told there aren’t reservations available but I see open tables. Why is this?

    Staffing, high volume, and reservations may be the reason for this.

  • Is there a dress code?

    There is no dress code. Guests are required to wear cover ups over swimsuits, shirts, and shoes.

  • Can we do separate checks?

    We are able to divide evenly between 2-4 credit cards if needed. We do not separate checks on parties of 8+.

  • Do you allow dogs? Even in your outdoor areas?

    The FDA laws currently prohibit animals in restaurants unless the animal is a service dog providing specific tasks for an individual with a disability. Emotional support dogs will not be accepted. Please note that a manager will always follow up regarding a service dog brought into the establishment. 

  • Are you able to accommodate food allergies?

    Gluten free items are noted on our menu. Prior to your meal, please let your server know of any food allergies including gluten, nut, shellfish, etc. Your server will help you navigate any other allergy modifications. 

  • Can we make menu modifications not required for dietary purposes?

    Please note during peak high volume seasons some modification requests and substitutions may not be accepted. 

  • Can we launch our boat or kayaks at your launch?

    No, it is a private launch.

  • Can we come by boat to your restaurant?

    Absolutely, however, boat parking is extremely limited. Reservations do not ensure that there will be a spot for you to park your boat upon arrival. We do not advise guests to come by boat on holiday weekends.

  • Do you have live music?

    Yes, more days than not. See our events calendar tab for our music calendar.

  • Can my kids play in the sand?

    We ask that all kids be supervised while playing in the sand. Children are permitted to play in the south beach side along the further side of our outdoor dining by the fireplace. 

  • Can we eat at the firepits and in the beach area?

    The beach and firepits are first come, first served. We do not accept reservations for these areas. There may be times where there is no service on the beach or firepits and guests will be required to order from the bar. You are welcome to eat in these areas however glass is NOT allowed on the beach. Please note you may be asked to switch to plastic.

  • Can I make a reservation for the bar area?

    The bar is a first come, first served basis and we do  not accept reservations for these areas.

  • Where can I smoke at your restaurant?

    Outside both restaurant doors you will find cigarette butt containers. We ask that guests smoke out front and not anywhere else.

  • Do I have to valet park my car?

    During our peak season at PIER 290, we have valet parking available for guests on the weekends. We ask all guests to utilize this to maximize the parking spots for guests.

  • Do you have Igloo dining? When does it begin?

    We do have outdoor Igloo dining available beginning the day after Thanksgiving. Please see our Igloo tab on the website for further details. 

  • Do you allow carry-in drinks?

    Guests are not allowed to bring in beverages from their boat. Guests will be asked to finish their drink or dispose of it.
